The ingredients needed to prepare Tom Yum Soup:

  1. Provide 1/2 litre of chicken stock.
  2. Provide 5-6 of kaffir lime leaves.
  3. You need 2 stalks of lemongrass (only the white part to be used).
  4. You need 1 inch of galangal (Thai ginger), sliced.
  5. Get 2 of green chilies.
  6. Provide 1 tsp. of tomato paste.
  7. You need 1 tbsp of , tomato sauce.
  8. Use 1/2 cup of mushroom, sliced.
  9. Take 1 tsp. of red chilli powder.
  10. Prepare 1/2 cup of prawns / shrimps, cleaned & deveined.
  11. Take to taste of salt.
  12. You need 1/2 of juice of 1/2 lime.
  13. Use 1 tsp. of coriander leaves to garnish.

Instructions to make Tom Yum Soup:

  1. Bring the stock to a boil. Then add the kaffir lime leaves, galangal and lemongrass. Simmer on a low flame for 7-8 minutes..
  2. Add rest of the ingredients (except lime juice & coriander leaves). Simmer further for 3-5 minutes..
  3. Drizzle lime juice. Garnish with coriander leaves & serve as a light meal..
